Kestrel 140 with rudder: Like its namesake, the pretty little falcon who flies
with uncanny efficiency, this attractive straight-tracking and easy-maneuvering
Light Touring Kayak is comfortable enough to use for exercise while providing
a reliable platform from which to fish, take photos, observe wildlife or simply
enjoy a relaxing jaunt across favorite waters. The Kestrel offers a generous
cockpit for ease of entry and exit, comfort and stability, wide cushioned seat
with adjustable backrest and large rear hatch (16½" x 11"). Essentially a
stretched out version of the Kestrel 120, this model has all the outstanding
attributes of its shorter cousin with minor variations. The Kestrel 140 trades a
little bit of maneuvering for even more efficiency, better tracking, more
stability and more gear storage capacity. An added feature is the Kestrel's bow
hatch and bulkhead for added flotation and storage.
Hull Design: Swede Form Shallow "V", soft chine quiet-protected water.
Length: 14’, Width: 26", Depth: 15”
Hybrid - 38 lbs - $1899
TCS Thermoform - 46 lbs - $1699

Kestrel double kayak: The new Kestrel double kayak is a "crossover" tandem. It's shorter than a
touring kayak and longer than a recreational kayak. The easy enter and egress
cockpits are positioned far enough apart to allow non-synchronized paddling,
and also makes room for a center hatch. All the other features you expect in a
Kestrel are present, including dual paddle rests for each cockpit, and fishing
rod holders. A rudder is standard. Current Designs build the 170T in
fiberglass / Kevlar / graphite composite hybrid for the lightest weight.
Length 17'0", Width 33", Swede Form Shallow "V" Quiet Water.
Hybrid - 65 lbs - $2299 |
