From the Eastside: From I-405, take exit #5 (Park Drive) to the west (right at the bottom of the off ramp).  Remain on Park Drive through the Landing shopping center and as it bends to the south (left) by Boeing and becomes Logan Ave. N.  Turn west (right) on North 6th St. and go to the end, which takes you into the Cedar River Trail Park.  Just 15 minutes from Bellevue.

From the South: From I-405 take Rainier Ave. northbound. Turn east (right) on Airport Way.  Airport Way bends to the left (north) and becomes Logan Ave. N after it crosses the Cedar River.  Turn west (left) on N. 6th St. and go to the end, which takes you into the Cedar River Trail Park.  

From Seattle: Take I-5 south.  Exit on State Route 900 to Renton (Martin Luther King Way), which turns into SW Sunset Blvd.  Turn north (left) on Rainier Ave.  Turn east (right) on Airport Way.  Airport Way bends to the left (north) and becomes Logan Ave. N after it crosses the Cedar River.  Turn west (left) on North 6th St. and go to the end, which takes you into the Cedar River Trail Park.  20 minutes from Seattle.

Once in the park: You can only turn north (right) – this is Nishiwaki Lane (formerly Riverside Dr.)  Go to the end of the street and park near the north end of the one-way loop.   Walk across the ramp and onto the pier to the boathouse, which is built on pilings over the lake.  Boeing used to build hydrofoils here!

The Renton Boathouse sits atop Lake Washington's southern shore.  Offering wonderful views of the Olympic Mountains, Mount Rainier, Mercer Island, and the Seattle and Bellevue downtown skyscrapers.  We have an attached floating dock for convenient launching,   you can paddle to Coulon Park for lunch, up the gently flowing Cedar River, or explore the waters around the shoreline homes, the Boeing 737 final assembly plant and Renton Airport!  View great blue herons, a wide variety of waterfowl, osprey and eagles!  This is one of the best Lake Washington winter bird viewing areas.  More than 20 models of kayaks and canoes are available for rental and demo!
