Ballard Locks
Something a little different – and very urban, is our Ballard Locks trip! Paddle from Golden Gardens, along Shilshole Bay and Puget Sound, through the locks and up to Salmon Bay – home of the Seattle fishing fleet. Take a ride on the boat elevator as we ride up and then down in the Ballard Locks! It's really fun and safe.
We adjust the length of this trip based on the endurance of our trip members, and may venture as far as Lake Union. It’s a very fun, safe and pleasant paddle, with lots to see – views of downtown Seattle, the Ballard fishing fleet, sailboats and magnificent yachts.
