Level 1: Kayak Touring Foundation

In this beginning level kayaking course you will learn how to have fun and be safe on lakes and protected waters of Puget Sound.   This class will teach you  maneuvering strokes to take you where you want to go, how to paddle with the wind and small waves, basic navigation, assisted rescue, crossings and paddling with a group.   Our level one class consists of three on the water sessions, the first two are on lake Washington to learn skills and then a Puget Sound day trip to practice using them. 

Lessons are taught in single kayaks.

Kayak rental includes the kayak, PFD, paddle, spray skirt, and pump.
Save money by using your own boat and/or dry suit
Your boat must be approved by the instructor
